Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit proposals for in-person workshops to be held in conjunction with the ICDE 2025 conference. The purpose of the workshops is to provide a forum for exchanging opinions, presenting ideas, and discussing preliminary results in an interactive atmosphere.

A workshop proposal can be up to 4 pages long and should contain all pertinent information, including:

1. Main Content:

  • Workshop title
  • A short (150-200 words) abstract of the topic and format of the workshop
  • A detailed explanation of why the proposed workshop is appropriate for ICDE 2025
  • Names and contact information of the workshop organizers
  • Special considerations regarding proceedings (if any)

2. Organization

  • Tentative schedule including paper submission deadline, notification deadline, etc. The camera-ready deadline must be on or before 25 March, 2025.
  • Expected number of participants
  • In case of previous instances of the workshop: i) the historical numbers of participants, ii) the historical submission and acceptance counts
  • Preferred workshop duration (half day or full day)
  • A description of the submission review process, including how conflicts of interest will be handled
  • Rationale about recruiting the PC of the workshop, for example, diversity considerations (academia/industry, geography, gender, seniority, etc). These criteria should also be taken into account for the choice of the PC Chairs of each workshop.
  • Tentative list of PC members
  • Potential (or accepted) invited talks, keynotes, tutorials, or panels
  • Publicity and sponsorship plans
